POS Dealer Tricks to Watch For

There is a funny story that once a man who moved to a new place asked a Car dealer how to go to nearby grocery. The grocery was in fact 3 blocks away but the car dealer explained that he must buy a BMW because it would save time and money.

In case the guy says that he runs a small coffee shop with a cash register and he needs a small solution. If he can go walking he needs a bike or small car, not a BMW. He will be deterred by XYZ compliancy. Since closed source makes more money, it is natural that a dealer would rip off gullible guys walking in front of the store with FUD theory.

One of our expert guys Jim said, if I were in his shoes, I would select any decent system that has lowest installation cost, can be maintained by myself, or I can hire a local technician or IT guy with few hours contract to customize to produce daily and weekly sales reports.

Cost effective means if a shopping bag can be carried by one hand, spend a few bucks for a Cart to make it easier but must say NO to any offer for riding white elephants!
